Raging Against the Machine
A populist uprising against the powers that be is under way.
You don't need me to tell you that our world is in a bad place. Besides the usual struggles and conflicts to get ahead, there seems to be a new phenomenon now under way.
People are fed up with the status quo, and it's triggering a widespread uprising against prevailing culture, government and the influence of elites who stack the deck to bring them more wealth, power and ability to impose their wills upon the rest of us.
It's playing out everywhere in every corner of the globe. From protesters in France to culture warriors in America to women in Iran, we're seeing the masses speak out to change our common affairs in a way that will better suit their needs.
Unfortunately, those same powers that be hold great sway over matters, manipulating media and the levers of power to try to pit us against each other so we can't effectively assert our grievances and hold them accountable for their actions.
In fact, they've weaponized all aspects of our differences and the powers we’ve given them to drive us apart, using race, sex and whatever else they can to drive wedges between us. Here in America, they're even painting large swathes of people as domestic terrorists so they can use the vast and ever-increasing powers of the state against us to keep us down.
Worse, we the people not only let them do it; we gleefully play along in hopes of getting a bigger piece of the pie for ourselves and whatever side we root for.
As a result, the systems and institutions established to bring justice and provide for our safety and welfare have been turned against us as they work to destroy faith, family and other foundations of our ability to coexist in this world.
Moreover, their minions have recruited — and mobilize on a moment's notice — vast armies of discontent souls who are ready, willing and able to wreak havoc upon our way of life.
So what's this all about from a spiritual perspective, assuming one believes that it's all happening for a purpose serving some Divine Plan of our Creator?
The prophets have long foreseen a period of great darkness and unrest, culminating in fierce battles to see whose will will prevail. Revelations portends an Armageddon, when the forces of light will finally vanquish those in darkness to usher in 1000 years of peace and prosperity. Others see End Times marking the passing of an era, a kali yuga of suffering and strife, and the start of a Golden Age of good will toward men.
While analysts throughout history have thought their times were worst and the time of prophecies was upon them, from my vantage point they were mistaken. For never did events threaten the very foundations of civilization like those that are underway now.
Concerted efforts are unfolding by the World Economic Forum and their government and corporate conspirators to impose great changes upon us all, changes that promise good times for them but only servitude and struggle for the people, and maybe their destruction or transformation into something less than human.
Divested of their free will and under constant pressure to bow down to their overlords, the people are revolting, awakening to the harms perpetrated against them and in their names for so long.
It's bringing humanity to the brink of destruction, one hastened by the very people sworn to serve our best interests and ward off harm. But the interests they serve are their own, forcing us to question ourselves as to why we allow them to continue.
After all, why do we need to be ruled, anyway?
In a spiritual sense, it is a test whether we are ready to take the next step in our evolution, expanding consciousness to grow closer to the source of our being. Mankind must prove it is up to the task and stand against the usurpers of its sovereignty, to say that enough is enough and we're not going to take it any more.
But that is not just a collective choice; it is an individual one as well that plays out in hearts and minds all over the globe. We each must decide what we want for ourselves and for each other.
If that is manifested through love and compassion with respect for each other's right to exercise its will free without coercion or restraint, we will pass the test and throw off the yoke of our rulers. For only then will we do justice for our souls.
And if not, we might just condemn ourselves and future generations to a hell on earth that will rival the worst we can imagine.
Some see the possibility of some grand event, a flash of light bringing ascension to another world or dimension of existence, where believers are magically lifted up and rewarded. While that possibility remains, I don’t put my eggs in that basket. Instead, I see it as a carrot dangled to get us to bring out our best, rather than keep showing each other our worst.
Rather, that test must be passed by us here and now. We must each face the challenge of setting ourselves free. And that can only be done by making our stand for the light that calls us home and lifting up the collective consciousness that creates this reality, to which our individual energies contribute.
It won't be an easy ride, but there will be moments of peace and joy to bring you refuge from the storm. Seize them. Expand upon them. Let them renew your vision of what you want your life to be, and the kind of world you need to live it in.
But above all, be strong. Don’t let them bring you down, or steal your vision of a better tomorrow.
I know you're up to the task. We all are, if we will but go into the silence and allow that still, small voice to guide us as we bring out the best we have inside.
God bless you indeed.
