I don't see things like most people. That probably makes me weird or something uncool, but I don't care. That's just how I was made, for better or worse.
For to me, reality is a swirling cauldron of energies, interests and agendas we have to work with and within as we try to build lives that serve us.
How we do so makes all the difference.
When we’re locked into our beliefs and biases, it's hard to consider anything else. They filter what we see and distort it to fit into the inner narratives we tell ourselves. They shape our thoughts and determine our emotions. And they motivate us to action and trigger responses that set off waves of experience for others and us.
My approach is more Taoist in nature. Rather than force my round peg into the square hole of conformity, I use illumination to consider more possibilities and empower more choices. Then by surrendering my will and desires to go wherever the flow leads, I am able to follow its inspirations and impulses to steer as it carries me to my next set of experiences.
Sometimes those inner currents are silent or I find myself caught in an eddy that keeps me in limbo. It is then that I am forced to reexamine myself, my intentions and the methods by which I act upon them. Or not.
You of course may create your life another way that better suits your personality, goals and soul path. That's the beauty of free will. It gives each of us choice to live the lives we want, at least as long as fate allows.
When it comes down to it, it's all about the decisions we face, the ones we make, and the ones we don't. Expanding consciousness brings expanded perspectives, empowering us to have more choices. And when those don't work out the way we want, free will allows us to make another choice.
All of my work is designed to help you look into yourself and have more choice over where you're going and how you'll get there. If that's to accelerate your journey home to your Creator, that's great. But for most, they don't even know they have a choice what their life is about, much less how to deal with the life they've got. So while it's up to you what kind of life you'll build or the tools and materials with which you build with, your choices may be limited by the hidden conditions in you that make you the way you are and your life the way it is.
Overcoming those is a two-fold process. First is drawing upon the light to loosen my beliefs and expand my perspective. Then I add a mix of real world skills and inner awareness that challenges me to balance the two to bring out my best and do what I can. Alas, too often I fall along the way. Life has a way of knocking me down and forcing me to get up, brush myself off and try again.
Perhaps your life is much the same, where you grow more by your failures than through your success. Each time you fall offers a chance to become more.
Shifting awareness into new perspectives is the means by which consciousness expands you into new versions of yourself. From there you have more possibilities from which to select your course, and hopefully more “wisdom” (functional knowledge) with which to choose.
We all live with an element of discontent with some aspect of ourselves or our lives. It's there to lead us to our next step.
Yours is calling you. You get to choose whether to take it. And how.
May the light within illuminate your choices, and the love that you are guide your way.
God bless you indeed.
